Welcome to TALAO (“TALAO,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By accessing our website, purchasing from our online store, or purchasing through our physical boutique or events, you agree to the following Terms of Service. Please read them carefully before making a purchase.


1. General Conditions

By purchasing from TALAO, you confirm that you are of legal age and legally capable of entering into a binding agreement under applicable law.

We reserve the right to refuse service, cancel orders, or limit quantities at our discretion where reasonably necessary, including in cases of suspected fraud, abuse, unauthorized resale, pricing inaccuracies, or inventory discrepancies.


2. Handcrafted Pieces & Natural Materials

Every TALAO piece is handcrafted in limited quantities using carefully selected natural materials.

Due to the nature of genuine leather, cowhide, hair-on-hide, and handcrafted production, slight variations in color, grain, texture, markings, stitching, hardware finish, and overall appearance may occur. These variations are inherent characteristics of the materials and craftsmanship and are not considered defects.

Product imagery is provided for reference only. Actual products may vary slightly depending on material cuts, hide patterning, lighting, screen settings, and the natural evolution of the leather over time.


3. Orders & Payment

Orders are considered confirmed only once full payment has been successfully received and verified.

For in-store purchases, orders are confirmed at the time of successful checkout through our Shopify POS system or other approved payment channels.

For online purchases, orders are confirmed upon successful payment processing through Shopify-supported gateways or approved direct payment methods.

TALAO reserves the right to cancel, refuse, or limit any order in the event of:
• Suspected fraudulent activity
• Pricing or typographical errors
• Inventory inaccuracies
• Payment verification issues
• Unauthorized or suspicious transactions

In the event an order is canceled after payment has been made, the customer will receive a refund for the affected order amount.


4. Accepted Payment Methods

In-Store Payments

We currently accept:
• Credit and debit cards
• Instapay QR payments
• PayPal

Online Payments

We accept payment methods supported through Shopify and approved payment gateways, including:
• Credit and debit cards
• PayPal
• Instapay transfers

Please note:
• QR payments must be completed through Instapay only
• PESONet transfers are not accepted for immediate order processing
• Orders and items will not be released until payment has been fully verified


5. Returns, Exchanges & Refunds

Due to the limited and handcrafted nature of our products, all sales are considered final once confirmed.

We do not accept returns, exchanges, or refunds for:
• Change of mind
• Personal preference
• Minor natural variations in leather or hide
• General wear and tear
• Improper care or handling

Requests for exceptional returns or replacements involving:
• Incorrect items received
• Significant damage upon arrival

must be submitted within seven (7) days from the date of delivery or pickup.

To request a review, customers must email support@talao-studios.com with:
• Order details
• Clear photographs of the item and packaging
• A detailed description of the concern

Approved returns or exchanges must:
• Be unused
• Remain in original condition
• Include original packaging, tags, and inclusions where applicable

TALAO reserves the right to assess and determine eligibility for any return, exchange, repair, or replacement request at its sole discretion.

Shipping fees, duties, taxes, and handling charges are non-refundable unless otherwise required by law.


6. Shipping, Delivery & Risk of Loss

For in-store pickup orders, responsibility and risk of loss transfer to the customer once the item has been released or collected.

For shipped orders, responsibility and risk of loss transfer to the customer once the package has been handed over to the courier or shipping provider.

While we carefully package and inspect all orders prior to dispatch, TALAO is not responsible for:
• Courier delays
• Lost shipments
• Customs delays
• Damages occurring during transit
• Failed deliveries caused by incorrect customer information

Any courier-related claims may be subject to the policies and investigation procedures of the shipping provider.


7. Customer Consent

Customers may be required to complete and submit a Consent Form, whether digitally or in person, for certain purchases, pre-orders, pickups, or services.

By submitting any required form or completing a purchase, the customer acknowledges and agrees to:

• Any applicable care instructions or product disclosures


8. Intellectual Property

All TALAO content, including but not limited to:
• Designs
• Product silhouettes
• Branding
• Logos
• Photography
• Text
• Graphics
• Packaging
• Website content

are the intellectual property of TALAO and may not be copied, reproduced, distributed, modified, or used commercially without prior written consent.


9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, TALAO shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from:
• The purchase or use of our products
• Delayed deliveries
• Product misuse
• Improper storage or care
• Natural wear and material aging

TALAO’s maximum liability for any claim shall not exceed the purchase price paid for the product giving rise to the claim.


10. Force Majeure

TALAO shall not be held liable for delays, interruptions, or failure to perform obligations caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to:
• Natural disasters
• Floods or fires
• Supply shortages
• Labor disputes
• Transportation interruptions
• Government restrictions
• Public health emergencies
• Power or communication outages


11. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

These Terms of Service shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the Republic of the Philippines.

In the event of any dispute, both parties agree to first attempt resolution amicably and in good faith. If unresolved, disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the appropriate courts of the Philippines.


12. Changes to These Terms

TALAO reserves the right to update, revise, or modify these Terms of Service at any time without prior notice.

Any updates become effective immediately upon posting on our website or official platforms. Continued use of our website or purchase of our products constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.


13. Acknowledgment

By completing a purchase through TALAO, whether online or in person, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms of Service, including our Return & Refund Policy and Care Guidelines.
